This Terracotta Clay Pressure Cooker With Glass Lid is made of high-quality terracotta clay, a healthier alternative to aluminum or stainless steel. Because clay can evenly distribute heat, the food cooks faster and more evenly, retaining all of the flavors. This item is dishwasher safe and will not rust or stain. The pressure cooker also has a glass lid that allows you to monitor the cooking process. This pressure cooker is made in India and will allow you to enjoy authentic Indian cuisine with an earthy flavor.
How to use:
- Before using, soak the cooking utensils in water for an hour and allow them to dry. Coat the utensil in olive oil after it has dried. Then fill it three-quarters full with water and heat it for at least an hour on a low flame on a stove with a heat diffuser turned on. It should be noted that this should only be done once, before the first use.
- To avoid cracking, use cooking utensils on a low flame with a heat diffuser below.
- Clean your cooking vessels as soon as the temperature returns to normal.
- Soak a soft sponge in warm water, then apply Baking Soda or Lemon Water and gently rub your vessel to clean it thoroughly.
- Allow enough time for your vessels to dry.
- While stacking, place a tissue/cloth cushion between each product.
- These microwave-safe vessels with no metal attachments allow you to heat and eat traditionally.
- Clay cookware is compatible with gas stoves when combined with a heat diffuser or Sigdi or Chullah.
- Cook only one item at a time in the clay cooking vessels over a low flame.
- Use a cloth or a stand to keep the hot Tawa/Cooking vessels in place. (Due to the temperature difference between the hot vessel and the cold platform, the pot may develop an internal crack, and some parts may chip off during cooking.)
